Deputies of the French National Assembly did not adopt a draft resolution of no confidence in the government

It is specified that the resolution was not adopted, because it did not get half of the votes of the parliamentarians, which are necessary for the adoption of the resolution.

Thus, the French government, led by Prime Minister Elisabeth Born, retains power.

Earlier it became known that the coalition of left-wing parties, the New People's Ecological and Social Union, as well as the faction of the National Rally party, are planning to put to a vote the issue of a vote of no confidence in the French government.

In particular, representatives of the parties do not agree with the article of the French Constitution, according to which bills can be adopted without discussion and vote of Parliament.
