British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be inaugurated as the 57th Prime Minister on the 25th local time.



The Prime Minister's Office announced on the 24th that Sunak's nominee would attend an audience with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on the morning of the 25th.



In Britain, a cabinet system, the king meets with the prime minister and asks for a cabinet to be formed, and the supreme office is granted.



Sunak's nominee will deliver his inaugural address as usual in front of the Prime Minister's Office at 10 Downing Street around 11:35 a.m.



Sunak, who was chosen as the sole candidate for the Conservative Party leader and prime minister on the 24th, will become the first prime minister to be approved by Charles III, who ascended the throne on September 8.



Prior to this, Prime Minister Liz Truss held a final cabinet meeting at 9:00 a.m. and spoke outside the Prime Minister's Office at 10:15 a.m. before heading to Buckingham Palace to report his resignation to Charles III.



Earlier, Truss was appointed Prime Minister after an audience with Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 6.



Her queen died two days later, and Truss became the 15th and last prime minister in her 70-year reign.
