Good apples and leaves on the trees in the residential area in Köping became too hard to resist for a moose cow and her two calves.
For a few weeks, various attempts to scare away the visitors have failed, but now they have been seen voluntarily leaving the block.
The villa quarter became a tourist destination
At the same time, the trio have become national celebrities after the media drew attention to them.
And it has been noticed in the number of visitors in the neighborhood.
- We had many people who came here by car and asked where the moose are and where you can look at them, says Olof Widaeus, a resident of the area.
May come back
The fact that the moose family has now left the residential area does not mean that there is an opportunity to shoot the moose cow because the quota for fully grown moose has already been reached in Köping's hunting management area, but according to the municipality's game warden, Micke Gustavsson, there is still room to kill some calves.
- I think they will come back.
Hopefully she will come herself then, says Micke Gustavsson.
