Actor Mark Hamill, who starred in the movie 'Star Wars', has donated more than 500 drones to Ukraine through a fundraising campaign, Bloomberg News reported on the 22nd (local time).

More than 500 drones have been delivered to Ukraine since Hamill appeared on Bloomberg Radio's 'Sound On' program and served as an ambassador for a fundraising project to support the Ukrainian drone army.

He emphasized that "drones play an important role in Ukraine's defeat of Russian forces. Drones protect Ukrainian territory and people and monitor borders. Drones are the eyes of the sky."

Since the end of last month, Hamil has been working as an ambassador for drone fundraising by United24, a reconstruction organization of the Ukrainian government.

In a statement at the time, he referred to Russia as an 'evil empire' and said, "Ukraine needs drones to protect its territories and the values of freedom and the democratic world as a whole."

Hamill played Luke Skywalker, a Jedi knight who fights against the Galactic Empire in the 'Star Wars' series.

Earlier this month, Hamill used the Star Wars plot to criticize Russia and tweeted images of support for Ukraine.

In this image, Russia is depicted as the imperial military's giant space battleship 'Star Destroyer', and Ukraine as the rebel's main fighter 'X-wing'.
