After the closing meeting of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the second "Party Representative Channel" interview activity was held.

Reporter from China Central Radio and Television:

My question is directed to Representative Zhu Min.

In the past ten years, you have personally witnessed and experienced the process of the integration of Chinese industries and the digital wave. What profound changes is this integration bringing to China?

thanks.

Zhu Min (Director of the Institute of Informatization and Industrialization Integration, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology):

As a scientific researcher in the field of industry and informatization, I have personally witnessed the wave of digitalization sweeping across China in the past ten years, making every cell in every industrial chain of our manufacturing powerhouse closely connected and full of vitality.

Here, I would like to use two key words to answer what kind of changes have taken place in our industry in this fusion development.

Representative Zhu Min:

  The first word is "refactoring".

It is not to create new industries, but to improve and upgrade the original traditional industries to make them better and better, including higher efficiency and better quality, such as green environmental protection.

It may be a bit abstract, but I will give you an example to give you a more intuitive feeling.

A traditional iron and steel enterprise has been transformed into a smart steel plant, which centrally controls hundreds of production processes and connects thousands of equipment.

Such a connection makes it possible to intelligently optimize the operating parameters of the equipment to achieve efficient production, instead of relying on manual experience to judge in the past.

Such a transformation has increased the overall production efficiency of the enterprise by 30%, and the key point is that the particle emission of the enterprise has also dropped by 25%.

It also directly reduced the PM2.5 value of the city where the company is located by 15.

It not only develops production, but also defends our blue sky.

In fact, this small example shows that this kind of digital transformation can indeed help our traditional industries to promote this kind of quality transformation, efficiency transformation and dynamic transformation, and achieve high-quality development.

Representative Zhu Min:

The second key word I want to share is "resilience".

Digitization can help our supply chain become stronger.

Last year, due to various factors, foreign transportation was hindered at that time.

We observed that a Chinese company can use its digital supply chain technology to select or locate the best option very accurately and quickly among tens of thousands of alternative channels and millions of freight combinations. Program.

At that time, we saw that most of the goods were delayed for more than a month. This company cut the delay time of 80% of its orders by half through such a technical solution.

This also shows that in fact, digital technology can also help our enterprises to improve their ability to resist risks and maintain the resilience of our industrial chain.

Representative Zhu Min:

In fact, we are now seeing that almost all industries in China are undergoing digital transformation.

In recent years, our country has also vigorously developed new digital infrastructure and digital industries, which have consolidated the "base" of the entire digital transformation; scientific research institutions like us are also tackling key problems, researching and designing our own transformation structure and technical route in China. Hope Less detours can be taken; companies are also boldly exploring and following up, because companies will propose and experiment with various new technical solutions based on their own pain points.

I think it is the joint efforts of all of us that have brought together the vigorous trend of China's digital transformation and development today, which also gives us the confidence to stand on the starting line of a new round of industrial transformation with developed countries.

Representative Zhu Min:

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made a new major strategic plan, emphasizing that the focus of economic development should be placed on the real economy and promoting new industrialization. It also proposed to accelerate the development of the digital economy and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.

I think this is the new mission of the new era.

As front-line researchers, we must accelerate the pace of R&D and innovation, dare to challenge the frontier of science and technology, and work with the industry to face various pain points and difficulties to promote this deep integration , injecting new and powerful kinetic energy into the construction of our manufacturing power, network power and digital China.
