Around a thousand people, according to data from the Government Delegation, have demonstrated this Saturday in the center of Madrid to show their support for the Trans Law and ask the PSOE not to "delay" its processing.

The Trans Platform Federation, organizer of the act, has estimated an attendance of 3,000 people.

The motto of the demonstration displayed on the header has been

Against fascism trans law already

.

Other messages that have been seen are "Identity is not chosen, transphobia is", "LGTBI pride, class pride" or "Public health, papers and job quotas", according to EFE.

A variant of the classic "Madrid will be the tomb of fascism" has also been chanted, adapted to "Madrid will be the tomb of

terfism

", in reference to the English term Terf (

Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist

), that is, Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist

.

A multitude of flags of the transgender group, as well as the rainbow flag, have formed the landscape of the protest, which has started from Madrid's Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, in honor of the socialist leader known for his fight for the rights of the LGTBI group.

Mar Cambrollé

, president of the Trans Platform Federation, has shown her "indignation" at the "delay" in the processing of the Trans Law by the PSOE and has warned that if there is "a new postponement" next Tuesday, the platforms will organize "a day of trans struggle" throughout "the Spanish State" and will call for acts of protest at PSOE headquarters in all provinces.

"On the one hand, the Government says that [the Trans Law] be processed urgently, on the other hand, on the 6th they voted against the amendment to the entirety of PP and Vox but in the end, in the commission, they continue to ask week after week postponements, with which, with their attitude and practices, they want to bring the law to the same fate as PP and Vox", he declared.

This attitude means, according to Cambrollé, leaving transgender people "without rights".

Both the content of the law and its processing pace have confronted the two partners of the Government.

From the Ministry of Equality of Irene Montero, rapid approval by the Cortes is sought, in the face of doubts about part of its content by a sector of the PSOE and traditional feminism.

The doubts of the socialists have led them to rule out the urgent procedure that United We Can want.
