Hamdan bin Zayed inspects road construction and infrastructure projects for residential lands in Madinat Zayed and Liwa

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, inspected a number of approved projects for the construction of roads and infrastructure for residential lands and plans for future housing in Madinat Zayed and Liwa in Al Dhafra region.

These projects provide asphalt roads and street lighting, in addition to all infrastructure services that include the construction of rainwater drainage networks, water and electricity supply networks, communications, firefighting and a sewage network.

It also includes the construction of pedestrian paths, bicycle paths and parking lots, in addition to the irrigation network and agricultural works.

The total number of residential lands benefiting from these services is about 1,421 plots, at a cost of about one billion and 277 million dirhams, and they are being implemented by the Al Dhafra Municipality in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan began his tour of Zayed City by inspecting the project to rehabilitate the infrastructure of commercial lands in Basin 3, which was completed at a cost of 45 million dirhams and includes 100 residential plots.

His Highness also inspected the progress of work on the infrastructure construction project in Basin 21, which includes 183 residential plots, at a cost of 160 million dirhams.

His Highness was briefed on plans to build infrastructure in Basin 20, which includes 93 lands, and Basin 22, which includes 242 lands, in addition to 212 housing units, at a cost of implementing infrastructure works amounting to 431 million dirhams.

His Highness' tour included the infrastructure project for residential lands in Mahdhar Al-Lief in Liwa, which includes 231 residential lands and is expected to be completed in April 2023, at a cost of 240 million dirhams.

During the inspection tour, His Highness listened to an explanation about the infrastructure work of the projects, the approved specifications and the standards enjoyed by the infrastructure design in accordance with the highest standards of sustainability and modern technologies.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that "the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, seeks to provide decent housing for all its citizens according to the highest standards in accordance with their own requirements and in a manner that contributes to achieving stability for the citizen family." He provides her with the best services.

His Highness also stressed the importance of the Emirati citizen being stable in his family and society in accordance with the highest standards of welfare, pointing out that these projects meet the aspirations of citizens, fulfill their economic, development and social needs, maintain citizens' stability, growth and prosperity, and contribute to meeting the requirements of progress and development in the Al Dhafra region.

His Highness praised the efforts of the Al Dhafra Municipality, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and their partners from the competent authorities in the Emirate in implementing projects and translating the directives and decisions of the wise leadership through the provision of housing services.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Rashid Al Hamli, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said that the citizen is the first priority of His Highness the President of the State, "may God protect him", and that the wise leadership is keen on family and social stability for citizen families.
