Xu Ganlu, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Immigration Administration, introduced that China is one of the countries with the lowest homicide rate, the lowest criminal crime rate, and the fewest gun explosion cases. The homicide rate per 100,000 people is 0.5%, the five indices of criminal safety accidents have dropped significantly in the past ten years; in 2021, the number of 8 major criminal crimes such as homicide, rape, drug crimes, robbery and robbery cases, and theft cases will be registered, and the number of larger ones with more than three casualties at a time. Traffic accidents have dropped by 64%, 56.8%, 96%, 62% and 59.3% respectively compared with 2012, and people's sense of security has been significantly improved.
Xu Ganlu said that in 2021, according to a survey by the National Bureau of Statistics, the sense of security will reach 98.6%, an increase of 11 percentage points compared with 2012. Today, China has become one of the safest countries in the world.
