According to RIA Novosti, the jury acquitted the Russian on four counts.

The fifth one was removed during the process by the judge.

Earlier, Danchenko, during a court hearing in the United States, refused to plead guilty to giving false testimony to the FBI.

He was suspected of illegally collecting information for the so-called dossier on former US President Donald Trump, which was published in 2017 and pointed to Trump's alleged ties to Russia.

Danchenko faced up to 25 years in prison.
