Seven years ago, Region Stockholm, then Stockholm County Council, allocated 1.5 billion to the replacement of escalators and lifts in SL traffic in the 2015 budget.
So far, the project has replaced 128 elevators and 66 escalators, but more replacements are on the way.
Until 2025, 160 lifts, 135 escalators and 2 roller coaster ramps must be replaced.
