The head of state orders $100 million in aid to Ukrainian civilians

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has ordered the provision of additional humanitarian relief aid worth $100 million to Ukrainian civilians affected by the crisis in Ukraine.

Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, said that this additional aid comes from the belief of His Highness the President of the importance of human solidarity, especially in cases of war and conflict, and is part of the UAE's continuous efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis.

She pointed out that the UAE has provided similar relief aid over the past months to Ukrainian civilians affected by the crisis, as well as flying planes carrying relief aid to Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Moldova, in response to the urgent appeal of the United Nations and the regional refugee response plan from Ukraine.
