"We have information ... about the preparation by Kyiv of a massive missile attack on the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station," Surovikin said in an interview with reporters.

He added that such shelling could lead to the destruction of the infrastructure of a large industrial center and large casualties among the civilian population.

Surovikin also called the tense situation in the zone of the special operation.

The commander of the Russian grouping said that Russia does not pursue the goal of rapid advancement during a special military operation, it protects every soldier and methodically "grinds" the enemy.
