A 50-year-old man was tried on Monday by the Saint-Brieuc criminal court (Côtes-d'Armor).

He was suspected of having fired a rifle and then threatened a group of teenagers in the street with the weapon on September 10;

The facts occurred in Langueux, where the defendant lives.

Judged for willful violence, the 50-year-old had 2.24 g of alcohol per liter in his blood when he was in police custody, a few hours after the fact.

The man would have drunk with his neighbor first.

Bullet holes were found inside the apartment.

But, at the hearing, the defendant and the neighbor rejected the fault of these shots.

Already convicted 28 times in 30 years

Later, the 50-year-old allegedly threatened five teenagers aged 13 to 15 with his gun from his balcony as the young people passed in the street.

The man, who assured that he did not remember anything, fortunately did not shoot.

The parents of four of the five victims were present at the trial.

Already convicted 28 times since 1991, the defendant was prohibited from possessing a weapon.

He was sentenced to two years in prison, one year suspended, and returned to prison.

He will have to pay 500 euros in damages to each of the civil parties.
