The parents of little Lola, a 12-year-old schoolgirl found dead in a trunk in Paris, have found refuge in Fouquereuil, a village near Béthune in Pas-de-Calais, where they confided in mayor Gérard Ogiez.

He reports that Johan and Delphine want above all to recover their daughter's body.

In search of calm and peace.

Johan and Delphine, the parents of little Lola, found dead in a trunk this weekend in Paris, left the capital on Monday to find refuge in Fouquereuil, near Béthune in Pas-de-Calais, facing this ordeal more how painful.

They are hosted there by the paternal grandmother, who lives in a small house set back from the main street of the town of 1,700 inhabitants.

Out of sight, the parents are going through this ordeal "with courage and dignity", said the mayor of the village, Gérard Ogiez, about them.

"They don't understand, but they are very brave"

He met the couple for a long time on Monday evening, and the parents were devastated by the barbarity of which their child was the victim.

They were also plunged into an abyss of incomprehension about the reasons for this atrocious murder.

"What are the reasons for carrying out a massacre as we can know it now, with the details that we are hearing more and more? They do not understand, but they are very courageous", he insists at the microphone of Europe 1.

"I didn't expect to find them at this stage of behavior", admits the mayor of the village, who reports that "for the moment, what the parents want most is to get their daughter back. For the rest, the following the investigation, I can't say that it doesn't worry them, but the main thing is to get their daughter back".

No altercation or dispute with the suspect

With the mayor, Johan and Delphine assured that they had never had an altercation or dispute with Dhabia B., the alleged murderer of the 12-year-old schoolgirl who claimed the opposite in a first deposition.

The couple now only aspires to be able to bring their little girl's body back to Fouquereuil.

They also plan to return to settle permanently in their region of origin.

They will be "accompanied by solidarity", assures them the mayor of the town.
