Swedish Prime Minister announces formation of new government

  The current government is a minority government made up of the centre-right Moderate Coalition Party, the Christian Democrats and the Liberal Party.

The ruling coalition and the far-right Sweden Democrats signed a cooperation agreement covering seven areas of governance in exchange for the party's support and securing the influence of its second-largest party.

The Sweden Democrats will send commissioners to the new government and carry out various cooperation with the government.

  According to the list of government composition announced by Christesson, the current government has 24 ministerial positions, of which Eba Busch, chairman of the Christian Democrats, will serve as deputy prime minister and minister of energy and economy, and John Persson, chairman of the Liberal Party, will serve as the labor market and integration. Minister, Tobias Bierstrom, a member of the Moderate Coalition Party, was the foreign secretary.

  In the policy address, Christesson said that in the face of record shooting deaths, economic downturn, emerging energy crisis and worrisome regional security situation, the new government must fight crime, promote economic growth, ensure energy supply security and join NATO and other aspects responded quickly.

  Sweden holds parliamentary elections on September 11.

According to the final vote count released by the Swedish Electoral Commission, the right-wing opposition bloc, consisting of the Moderate Coalition Party, the Sweden Democrats, the Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats, won a total of 176 seats and won the general election by a narrow margin.

The center-left Social Democrats, Sweden Democrats and Moderate Coalition Party are the top three parties in parliament with 107, 73 and 68 seats respectively.

Christesson was elected Prime Minister of Sweden in a parliamentary vote on the 17th.
