“In this case, we are discussing with you legislative initiatives that are designed to protect citizens, protect rights,” Volodin is quoted by TASS.
According to Volodin, such a bill should have been adopted much earlier.
The speaker stressed that by adopting such bills, Russia is opposing the "darkness that is spreading more and more into the world."
Volodin also noted that the inhabitants of Russia themselves are against the propaganda that "got them".
In September, Alexander Khinshtein, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, said that the Russian Ministry of Justice had prepared a draft positive response from the Russian government to a bill on administrative liability for promoting non-traditional sexual relations and pedophilia.
