Today, Monday, the Kuwaiti government headed by Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah took the constitutional oath before Deputy Emir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a day before the inaugural session of the National Assembly (Parliament), in which the new government will present its program of work.

Deputy Emir Sheikh Mishaal called on the new government to apply the law to everyone with justice and equality, consolidate the principle of integrity and transparency, expedite the implementation of development projects, upgrade the health system, develop the educational process, provide housing care, combat corruption and prosecute the corrupt, as he put it.

Yesterday, a decree was issued to re-form the government of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf, which included 15 ministers, including two women, and the new lineup saw the change of 8 ministers, most notably the foreign affairs, as the former Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was appointed.
