“Literally in the coming days, troops of the Russian component of the regional grouping of troops will begin to arrive on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” said Colonel Viktor Tumar, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus for scientific work.

He added that the Russian military will undergo planned combat training activities aimed at increasing the level of fulfillment of tasks to protect the Union State.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that the leadership of Russia and Belarus agreed to deploy a joint regional group of troops.

The Belarusian leader also instructed to receive and deploy the Russian military in Belarus.
