Putin: There are no plans to launch further large-scale attacks against Ukrainian targets

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian targets that were not hit in the missile attack launched by his forces last Monday will be targeted again.

Putin said at the conclusion of a summit held in the Kazakh capital, Astana, that seven out of 29 targets "have not been damaged as planned by the Defense Ministry. But the attacks will be renewed."

"There is no need for large-scale strikes at the moment," Putin added. "Now there are other tasks."

After nearly seven and a half months of war, Russia fired more than 80 missiles at Ukraine on Monday, including the capital, Kyiv.

About 20 people died in the attacks, which were seen as retaliation for the bombing of a bridge linking annexed Crimea with mainland Russia.

Asked if he had any regrets about the "special military operation" carried out by Moscow, Putin replied, "No." That's a little bit, only on worse terms for us. So we are doing the right thing and at the right time."

It is noteworthy that Putin often claims that Western-backed Ukraine poses a threat to Russia, which is rejected by international observers.
