“Toilet paper is another product whose production has risen in price due to the outbreak of the armed conflict in Ukraine,” the report says.

It is noted that Russian birch consists of short fibers that soften hygiene products.  

“The ban on the export of Russian birch ... provoked a fight for pulp, the main component in the production of toilet paper,” the authors of the material added.

Earlier, political scientist Ruslan Balbek, in an interview with RT, said that European restrictions are hitting the EU economy painfully.

In addition, Bloomberg reported that amid the energy crisis in Europe, increased demand for wood.

In particular, residents of Germany consider horse manure and other unpopular fuels as fuel, and in France a double increase in prices for wood pellets has been recorded.
