The girl, who is in her early teens, went missing late last week.

She was suspected of having been subjected to so-called grooming and of having taken a train from Värmland to Gothenburg to meet a man in his 20s.

He was already arrested last Saturday, while the girl was found, well-preserved, only last Tuesday evening.

Earlier the same day, the man was arrested, on probable grounds suspected of grooming.

Those suspicions remain even after the interview with the girl that has now been carried out.

- The plaintiffs and a number of people have now been heard.

There is still probable cause for the suspicion of contact to meet a child for sexual purposes, for which the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, says District Attorney Joanna Larsen.

- Nothing has come to light that weakened the suspicions in any way after we heard the plaintiffs.

"Special confidentiality"

Early on, there were witness statements that the girl and the suspect had been seen near his home in Gothenburg.

However, there are still no criminal suspicions surrounding the disappearance itself.

Joanna Larsen does not want to go into where the girl was.

- The plaintiff has told about the days she has been in Gothenburg and what has happened.

But I cannot go into the information she has provided, says the prosecutor.

Previously convicted

The suspect is in his 20s and has previously been convicted of three counts of child rape, which several media have reported on.

In connection with the arrest, he denied the crime.
