British Prime Minister refuses to resign

After the dismissal of British Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Quarting, British Prime Minister Liz Truss refused to resign from her post.

Trass said it acted decisively, ensuring the country's financial stability, stating that it will act in the national interest, stressing that it "will weather the storm."

The prime minister insisted that her policy of lower taxes and higher investment incentives was the right policy.

Trass added that the only reason behind her decision was the market, which was upset by the decisions to cut taxes significantly, stating, "I am determined to deliver on what I promised."

The prime minister had earlier announced that the corporate tax would be raised from 19 to 25% in April as planned by the previous government.

However, it promised to withdraw this increase.
