For the first time since Russia's military invasion, a delegation of members of the Ukrainian parliament is scheduled to visit Japan this weekend.

As the Russian military continues to launch missile attacks on various regions, the group of lawmakers is expected to seek support from Japan to further increase pressure on Russia and to restore infrastructure.

According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Japan and other sources, a group of five lawmakers, including Ukrainian parliamentary parliamentarian Kharina Mikhailuk, will visit Japan from the 15th of this month, and will meet with parliamentarians, government officials, and economic organizations. I am planning to meet with relevant parties.

Members of the delegation include military lawmakers who once led the fight against pro-Russian armed groups, as well as economic experts.

This is the first time that a delegation of members of the Ukrainian Supreme Assembly has visited Japan since Russia launched a military invasion in February this year.

There is no end in sight to the fighting in Ukraine as Russia continues to launch massive missile strikes on several cities.

President Zelensky is requesting the international community to increase sanctions and pressure on Russia, and the group of parliamentarians intends to call on the Japanese side to further increase pressure on Russia.

In addition, it seems that they will seek support for restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure such as factories and roads destroyed by the Russian military.

The visit to Japan by the legislators group this time seems to be aimed at strongly requesting that each country unite and continue support by directly visiting Japan, a member of the G7 = seven major countries.
