The third space teaching activity of the Chinese space station was a complete success

Teachers" Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe brought a wonderful space science class to the young people. This is the first time that Chinese astronauts have taught in the Wentian experimental cabin.

　　In the lecture of about 50 minutes, the astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe of the Shenzhou 14 flight crew vividly introduced and demonstrated the working and living scenes of the Wentian experimental module of the space station, and demonstrated the capillary effect experiment in the microgravity environment, the water polo becoming "lazy" "Experiments, interesting drinking water in space, wrenches that turn heads and other magical phenomena, and vividly explained the scientific principles behind the experiments.

In addition, the astronauts also focused on the rice and Arabidopsis planting research carried out on the Chinese space station, and demonstrated the glove box plant cutting operation.

During the lecture, the astronauts conducted real-time interactive exchanges with the teachers and students of the ground classroom through video calls, and the ground classroom experts also carefully analyzed the relevant scientific issues.

　　In this activity, the main ground classroom was set up in the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and three ground sub-classrooms were set up in Heze, Shandong, Zhengzhou, Henan, and Dali, Yunnan. About 400 representatives of primary and secondary school students participated in the on-site activities.
