We are talking about a ban on the supply to Russia of materials "related to the production of chemical weapons."

The Foreign Ministry was surprised that such a “concern” about the inadmissibility of the production and proliferation of WMD is shown by the state, which “has not disposed of a huge amount of chemical munitions in the territory of the PRC that it once occupied.”

At the same time, Russia has been a party to the Chemical Weapons Convention since 1997 and in 2017 completely destroyed all of its stocks.

“The cynicism of the situation is reinforced by the fact that Japan never repented for its criminal experiments during the Second World War on the use of bacteriological and chemical weapons, including under the auspices of Detachment 731,” Zakharova stressed.

In August 2021, the FSB said that Japan planned to use bacteriological weapons against the Soviet Union in 1945, which would also be based on anthrax pathogens.
