Back to basics for the big return of Star Academy on TF1 on Saturday.
As was tradition when the show launched in 2001, the show's new promotion will have its sponsor.
If Jennifer had been able to count on the support of Florent Pagny during her season, it is the British singer Robbie Williams who will take on this role this year, as he has just released his fourteenth album.
For the occasion, the interpreter of
Rock DJ
will be present on the set during the first prime, alongside the new students and Nikos Aliagas, who takes over the reins of the program.
The cult show of the 2000s is making a comeback after fourteen years of absence on the first channel.
20,000 applications
In total, thirteen candidates will join the castle after a casting that brought together nearly 20,000 applications.
They will live in this emblematic place of the show for six weeks.
Each week, the students will perform in prime time while three of them will be on the hot seat each week.
One will be saved by his comrades, another by the teachers.
The third will be eliminated.
Given that this season will be limited to seven prime times, expect double eliminations on some nights.
