The Rodong Sinmun reported that Kim Jong-un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, gave field guidance to the test-firing of a long-range strategic cruise missile deployed to the tactical nuclear operation unit yesterday.

The Rodong Sinmun reported that the launch was carried out to further enhance the combat performance and power of long-range strategic cruise missiles operationally deployed to the tactical nuclear operation units of the North Korean military, and to confirm the reliability and technical stability of the overall operational operation system.

The two launched long-range strategic cruise missiles followed the elliptical and figure-eight flight trajectories set over the West Sea and flew for 1,234 seconds, hitting the target of 2,000 km of mooring, the Rodong Sinmun added.

General Secretary Kim Jong-un said, "We must continue to expand the operating space of our nuclear strategic force so that we can resolutely deter any military or war crises and fully take the initiative."

He also emphasized that continuous strengthening of the national defense capability is North Korea's consistent revolutionary policy, and that all efforts should be focused on the infinite and accelerated strengthening and development of the national nuclear warfare force.

North Korea's missile launch is the first in four days since the launch of a short-range ballistic missile on the 9th.
