The weather promises to be cloudy Wednesday morning over much of the country.

The far north of France will however benefit from beautiful clearings from dawn, according to Météo-France forecasts.

Further south, showers will affect certain regions, in particular the Basque Country and the Massif Central.

Wednesday morning, the clouds will be numerous over a large part of the country, except in the extreme north of France which will benefit from beautiful clearings from dawn, according to forecasts by Météo-France.

Mists and fogs will be present in the morning from northern Aquitaine towards Center Val de Loire and Burgundy.

Further south, scattered showers will affect in places the regions ranging from the Basque Country and Midi-Pyrenees to the Massif Central and the Center East.

The Mediterranean rim as well as Corsica will benefit from bright, temporarily cloudy weather.

A few early morning frosts in the north

During the afternoon, sunny spells will emerge, mainly in the northern half.

On the southern half, on the other hand, the clouds will remain in the majority and will become unstable with showers in places, in particular over the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Alps and the Corsican relief.

In the following evening and night, a few drops will be possible on the Channel coasts, the beginnings of a more marked deterioration expected for Thursday.

Night temperatures will be cool and will drop to 1 to 7 degrees in the northern third of the country with a risk of small local frosts, except in Alsace and Brittany where it will be milder, 8 to 11 degrees.

From Poitou-Charentes to Auvergne and Franche-Comté, it will be 9 to 12 degrees.

In Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées, Rhône valleys and around the Mediterranean, the thermometer will indicate 12 to 15 degrees, 12 to 17 degrees in Corsica.
