The unemployment insurance system, which has entered into force, includes all workers in the private and federal sector in the country, with the exception of the investor (the owner of the facility in which he works), domestic workers, the worker with a temporary contract, and juveniles under 18 years of age. According to the decree-law, to be eligible for compensation, the insured’s contribution period shall not be less than 12 continuous months, calculated from the date of subscription in the insurance system, and the beneficiary shall not have been dismissed from his work for disciplinary reasons in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Regulating Labor Relations and Human Resources Law in the Federal Government and any applicable legislation The compensation claim shall not be through fraud or deception, and if it is found that the facility in which he works is fictitious, the penalties and penalties stipulated in the Law on Regulating Labor Relations and any other legislation in force in the state shall be applied to the facility and the insured, and the payment of compensation shall be suspended if the employee joins another job. during the period of entitlement to compensation.

The compensation will be on a monthly basis at 60% of the contribution salary, with a maximum of 20,000 dirhams per month, and for a period of three months from the date of unemployment, which is the maximum period for compensation for each claim.

The insured may agree on additional benefits with the service provider, which are insurance companies licensed by the Central Bank and fulfilling the conditions for exercising the service activity of the unemployment insurance provider, which are issued by the Council of Ministers after consulting the Central Bank or any other governmental entity assigned by the Council of Ministers to provide unemployment insurance services. .

The disbursement of compensation to which the insured is entitled under this Decree-Law does not prejudice any other compensation or entitlements established in accordance with any legislation in force in the State.

Monthly compensation of 60% of the contribution salary, with a maximum of 20,000 dirhams per month, for a period of 3 months from the date of unemployment.
