Oksana Leontieva

at the Okhmatdyt Children's Cancer Hospital in
Kiev.
Yesterday she was on her way to work, after leaving her child in kindergarten, when
she was killed by Russian raids on the center of the capital
.
The news - reports the British newspaper “The Guardian” - was the same hospital that on Facebook described Leontieva as "
a dedicated and responsible person and doctor. A true professional and a support for his patients and colleagues
".
Anton Gerashchenko, Volodymyr Zelensky's senior presidential adviser, stressed that now
her five-year-old son has been orphaned
because, as he also recalled on Twitter, Oksana had lost her husband six months ago.
Doctor Leontieva is one of the
many names in the tragic outcome of what has gone into the news as "Putin's revenge"
for the attack on the bridge in Crimea.
A doctor from the Kiev children's hospital team, anesthetist Ekaterina TkachenkoI, writes on her Facebook profile: "
