Today (11th) at the United Nations, an emergency general meeting was held to adopt a resolution condemning Russia. Member States vote to decide whether to adopt the resolution by a majority vote, and the vote is expected to be held tomorrow.

First, let me tell you in detail what was discussed at the UN today.

<Reporter>

Yes, the UN emergency meeting was held today not because of the missile you just saw, but to condemn Russia's forcible annexation of occupied territories in Ukraine.

Last month, the United Nations Security and Compensation Council first attempted to adopt a resolution condemning it, but it was canceled due to the exercise of its veto by Russia, a permanent member of the Council.

Then the UN this time convened all 193 member states and held an emergency general meeting.

It will be passed by the general assembly without veto power.

The resolution discussed today does not recognize Russia's annexation of occupied Ukraine and calls for an immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.

There must have been a lot of very strong remarks, but what was the overall atmosphere of the general meeting?

<Reporter> In

short, it was the site of the Russian soil.

You might look at it like this.

Britain and the European Union criticized Russia one after another, especially the UN ambassador from Ukraine who said that his family was also killed in Russia's indiscriminate missile bombing yesterday.

Let's hear it.

[Serhi Kislitsa/Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Nations: Russia has once again proved to the world that it is a terrorist state.

We must use the most powerful method to dissuade them.]

Russia knew that this would happen, so at the beginning of the General Assembly, it was suggested that this discussion should be omitted and the voting on the agenda should be handled by secret ballot, but it was not accepted.

Russia has even claimed that Ukraine is a terrorist state, listen.
