Shared interests

This is the first state trip

in 36 years,

however, the relationship between the two countries is constant.

In fact, the Royal House has been to Germany seven times since 2014. Several times Don Felipe, although Doña Letizia and Doña Sofía have also been.

We share interests with the country that were reflected a week ago at the Spanish-German bilateral summit in A Coruña.

Both countries have as a priority the need for an

energy project

focused on giving way to Midcat, the support of Spain in the European presidency of the Union or the need to increase Europe's geostrategic autonomy.

Germany also shares

Spanish interests

in foreign policy: both countries have the same position on Ukraine and the Sahel.

To all this is added that the coverage rate between imports and exports with the country is 90%: while Germany exported 21,500 million euros in the first half of the year, it imported 24,720.

For all these reasons,

four ministers will travel with the King and Queen

.

Throughout the trip, Minister Albares and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, will be by his side;

In Frankfurt, the Vice President and Minister of Economy Nadia Calviño and the Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta, will join the delegation.
