A few hundred people gathered on the Place des Fêtes in the north of Paris before heading to Place de la République on Sunday, October 9.

Woman, life, freedom

”, the three words chanted by demonstrators in Iran since the death of Mahsa Amini, were taken up with one voice by the demonstrators.

He stands a little away from the demonstration and looks away.

Rahim fled his country for a long time, for this former political refugee, what is happening in Iran is incredible: “

It is an unprecedented revolution, because it is a feminist revolution, in fact.

It means that the young girls are in front, we have never experienced such a movement on their part.

In the world, I do not know such a situation.

In Iran, really, it is an exceptional situation.

Her white cotton blouse contrasts with the black of her magnificent eyes.

Bahar Azadi was born in Tehran, she is now a sociologist in Paris, the 35-year-old young woman is expecting a child and projects herself into the future: "

I think that this struggle, for me, is not just for myself, for the Iranian people, but it is also for my son.

I wish he could be born in a world where there is no Islamic Republic, where there is no political Islam.

And one day, perhaps, he will be able to visit Iran, his grandparents, without the Islamic Republic.

For this Iranian sociologist, "

the reason for this dispute is based on this central question which is the woman's body

 ".

On the continuation of the movement, Bahar Azadi believes that it will have to grow and take other forms:

“We cannot wait for people to come to the streets every day.

Many people have already given their lives, their youth for this revolt.

I think we have to move on.

We must hope for strikes in Iran.

It's the first time I can't imagine going back.

Yesterday, for example, the mother of Aliouche Alizadeh, a young Iranian who was assassinated, said: "Do not present me messages of condolences. Continue the fight".

She is a mother who lost her son.

We see many parents who have passed this level of sadness, but have reached a level of anger and call on the people to continue the fight.
