On two occasions this year, the school platform Vklass has been exposed to breaches where information about users was leaked.

In one of them, information about 47,000 students in Gothenburg was leaked, which was later put up for sale via an online advertisement.

According to the city of Gothenburg and the company Vklass, this is information that is already public.

SVT Nyheter has previously reported that information about students at several schools must have been leaked due to an intrusion by a user of the Vklass school platform.

With the leak, Vklass is said to have urged its customers to report to the Swedish Data Protection Agency, IMY, as it is not known how many customers have been affected.

Several municipalities are said to have reported the breach.

- The person has used a robot, says Vklass CEO Andreas Selling.

47,000 students in Gothenburg affected

On October 7, the city of Gothenburg announced that data on 47,000 students had been leaked from the platform, this time via another breach.

During the weekend, Vklass gathered to decide how to work forward.

Vklass does not want to comment on how the breach may have occurred and instead refers to the city of Gothenburg.

No passwords should have been leaked

Parents may be worried about their children's information being leaked, what do you think?

- I think it's terrible.

I've been sick since the first incident.

This is not something we want to happen, says Andreas Selling.

Both the company Vklass and Gothenburg's elementary school administration are adamant that the leaked information is only information that can be requested as public documents.

- Then that doesn't mean that we should help spread such information.

The problems must be fixed

According to Andreas Selling, the problems must be fixed.

At the same time, Vklass has now had two different breaches in a short time, and when asked how to look at security risks with Vklass going forward, the CEO answers:

- If there have been any risks, they have already been blocked.
