The Muslim Council of Elders praises the role of the UAE in efforts to promote peace, tolerance and brotherhood in the world

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Counselor Muhammad Abdul Salam, praised the great efforts made by the United Arab Emirates;

Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in supporting and sponsoring efforts to promote peace and human brotherhood in various parts of the world.

Counselor Abdel Salam said, in a symposium held by the Muslim Council of Elders pavilion at the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair, under the title “Respect and Human Fraternity,” and moderated by Dr. Samir Boudinar, Director of the Elders Center for Peace Research.. A collective commitment that everyone shares in fulfilling,” pointing out that the Islamic religion is a religion of mercy, coexistence and peace.

He explained that the Human Fraternity Document is an invitation to all believers and non-believers from members of the human family to strengthen brotherhood among them, pointing to the impact of that document in unifying humanity's efforts in dealing with the exceptional challenges facing our world today.

He added that the Muslim Council of Elders, headed by the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, is working hard to achieve tolerance and spread the values ​​of coexistence and human brotherhood and deliver the message of love and peace to all the world, noting the role of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in the UAE in spreading and strengthening the values ​​of dialogue and tolerance. And human fraternity through multiple and exceptional initiatives that express the true belief of the UAE in the importance of these values ​​in making peace among human beings.

A delegation from the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence participated in the symposium, headed by Afra Al-Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence;

During her intervention, she stressed that the efforts of the UAE at the local and regional levels in spreading tolerance made it a model to be emulated.

She said that the UAE is still and will continue to follow the approach set by the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "may God rest his soul", stressing that tolerance in the UAE is not only a government agenda, but rather a way of life in a country that embraces more than two hundred nationalities .
