An Egyptian woman who became famous a few months ago as the "Ismailia bride" filed a complaint with the security services accusing her husband of severely beating her, holding her in a room at home and preventing her family from visiting her.

The woman, called Maha Muhammad, accused her husband of severely beating her, causing some injuries in different parts of the body, and imprisoning her for 15 days in a room in the house. The security forces arrested the husband after she filed a complaint.

Egyptian news websites quoted the bride as saying that she lived under threat due to the frequent beatings of her husband, with every dispute between them.

According to Cairo 24 website, the bride revealed that her husband threatened her with water of fire and also threatened to kill her father.

In the details, the bride said, “My husband asked my father 50 thousand pounds to divorce me, and I knew that he was married to me before our passport, and he surprised me. I was bleeding from my stomach with blood, and he used to beat me other than torture, insults, and slander, and he also let me down in the street.”

Sada Al-Balad website published a picture of the wife after she filed a complaint against her husband, showing signs of violence.

The bride indicated that her marriage was traditional, and there was no emotional relationship between them, and she said that she agreed to the marriage under pressure from her family and her father because they had a kinship relationship and that she could not bear to live with him because of the insult, beating, torture and cruelty he had done to her.

The "Ismailia bride" sparked controversy in Egypt last February, after her husband beat and violently assaulted her on their wedding night, about 8 months ago.

A small part of the leech that the Ismaili bride ate today... The idea is that after she broke up and the whole world literally watched them more than a source said that they went to the department and made peace and came to joy, I wish #Ismailia calmed down a little because her conversations increased pic.twitter.com/biPVUcLaxu

The pioneers of communication circulated a video of the quarrel that took place in front of a women's beauty center in the governorate.

After that, the couple came out in a video and announced that they are happily living together.

"This is the norm for us.. this is not a new thing for me to hit my cousin.. my cousin and my wife.. I mean if it is not my wife, she is my cousin at first.. it's normal!"

The beating is not normal;

Beating is a crime that has no conditions or justification.

In this video, the groom indicated that a misunderstanding caused the beating, saying in the Egyptian dialect, "There is no new need if I hit my cousin and my wife, and even if she is not my wife, she is my cousin in the first, and this is a normal need for us."
