The US military announced that unidentified forces fired a missile at a base hosting US forces in Syria, but the attack did not cause any casualties or damage.

The army added, in a brief statement, that the missile, with a caliber of 107 millimeters, had no effect inside the base located in northeastern Syria.

The US Army Central Command said additional missiles were found at the launch site.

The attack came just two days after a US helicopter strike on a village in northeastern Syria killed an ISIS terrorist, and hours later another US air strike killed two other ISIS members.
