- It is a big fire with big flames and a lot of smoke.
There is total damage to the building and it will burn down, says Mattias Sköld, interior commander at the rescue service Syd.
There are also homes in the vicinity of the building affected by the fire, but any evacuation of homes is not an issue at the moment.
How the fire started is unclear.
- It is an older brick building with various activities.
We received an alarm that there was smoke coming from the building.
During the next few hours, we will have active extinguishing work and also some form of presence during the night, says Mattias Sköld.
The police are also on site to assist the emergency services.
- We do not know the cause of the fire and it is too early to answer whether there is any crime behind it, says Jimmy Modin, press spokesperson at the police.
