It was the grandmother who took care of the boy because his parents worked in a factory in Chonburi Province – an eight-hour journey away – to be able to send money home to the family.

But they came home as often as they could, during holidays and holidays, to be with Stamp.

- Every day I worked only for him, I do everything for him.

That's what motherhood is all about, says his mother Sujittra Pornikhom between tears.

Next month, the family would celebrate Stamp's fourth birthday.

Now they are instead left with a big void.

National mourning

The massacre took place on October 6th when a 34-year-old ex-policeman entered a preschool in northeastern Thailand, killing at least 34 people.

24 of these are said to be children and most are said to have been killed while they were sleeping.

According to reports, the perpetrator must have used both firearms and stabbing weapons.

After the crime at the preschool, he shot his wife, his child and himself to death.

The incident has shaken Thailand and both the country's prime minister and the royal couple have visited the province where the preschool is located, to express their condolences to the victims' relatives.
