Yemeni diplomatic sources stated that the efforts made by the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and the US envoy who started a tour in the region, as well as the international and regional community's support for these efforts, met with Houthi rejection and intransigence that threatens to undermine peace efforts, and leads towards a return to fighting.

The sources stated that the militias continue to adhere to their demands to “pay the salaries of their fighters and give them a percentage of the oil revenues,” which the UN envoy and the Yemeni government reject, as it is in violation of what was previously agreed with the Houthis regarding the payment of employee salaries from the revenues of Hodeidah ports, in addition to the legitimate government’s guarantee Fill in any financial loopholes in this item.



She explained that the UN and US envoys are continuing their efforts, with broad international support and support, to dissuade the Houthis from their positions and persuade them to accept the UN envoy's proposal to renew and expand the armistice.

The sources expected that these efforts would continue for a long period of time, during which Al-Houthi wants to pass his conditions, at the expense of the previously agreed proposals and principles regarding the extension of the armistice in Yemen, noting that the militias may resort to carrying out extensive hostilities on the fronts of Marib and the western coast to pressure about accepting their terms. and its demands.

On the ground, the Yemeni army forces repelled an attack by the Houthi militia in the Qatabir district of Saada governorate, the first since the Houthis refused to sign the armistice, according to field sources, confirming that Houthi attempts to circumvent the army’s positions in the Tabab front and Al Thabet market in the district northwest of the governorate were repelled.

On the western coast, the joint forces thwarted Houthi attempts to create sites by the Houthi militia, near the lines of contact in the south of the Al-Jarrahi district, and forced them to flee the areas that they had begun to settle to use as camps for their elements and weapons that had recently pushed them to the western coast.

The military media of the joint forces reported that the units stationed from the joint forces south of Al-Jarrahi engaged in clashes with machine guns and medium weapons for about an hour, which ended in suppressing and thwarting the movements of the Houthi militias in the area.

In Taiz, the resistance army forces thwarted a Houthi attempt to advance in the Al-Arish and Al-Shaqab areas, in the Sabr Al-Mawadim district, southeast of the governorate, incurring heavy losses, while a soldier was killed.

The militias had bombed the Abaar and Al-Arjam neighborhoods in the Salh district, and Bareed Al-Rawda and Camp Al-Russ in the Cairo district, in the city of Taiz, from their concentration areas in Tibet Al-Silal and Al-Je`ah, using various weapons, including drones, where one of them was shot down east of the city.

In Lahj, the battles between the Houthis and the southern forces continued on the Hadd Yafa front, on the outskirts of Al-Bayda governorate, for the fourth consecutive day, with reports indicating the death of 8 Houthis and the injury of others.

On the Thara front between Al-Bayda and Abyan governorate, the joint and southern forces repelled an attack by the Houthi militia, towards their positions in the area north of Abyan, which led to Houthi deaths and injuries.

In addition, the terrorist elements in the Al-Mahfad district in Abyan governorate failed to impede the progress of the southern forces and the security belt, to secure the district as part of its “Sharq Arrows” operation, as the elements planted a quantity of explosives and explosive devices at the entrances to the district.
