Putin said that this year a record grain harvest is expected in Russia - about 150 million tons.

He stressed that the Russian market is fully provided with all the necessary food products.

In addition, Putin noted, Russia is successfully coping with food security issues.

“Moreover, we are building up export opportunities, and we are ready — I will emphasize this especially — to contribute to overcoming global food problems, to provide the necessary assistance to the poorest, developing countries,” the Russian president said.

Putin also wished health and success to everyone involved in the holiday.

Earlier, Putin said that he had informed UN Secretary General António Guterres that the Russian side was ready to supply fertilizers to developing countries free of charge.
