North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the East Sea at dawn on the 9th, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

Military authorities are analyzing specifications such as range, altitude, and speed.

The launch was carried out a day before the founding day of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Labor Party as a provocation after the end of a joint maritime maneuver exercise in which the US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan participated.

This is the first time this year that North Korea, which has been conducting frequent ballistic missile provocations recently, has launched a late-night launch like this one.

It seems that the launch was carried out in the early morning hours to give the South Korean military fatigue while considering the ROK-U.S. alliance readiness posture.

In the past, North Korea has also provoked at 6:10 p.m. and 8:48 p.m.

The provocation was yesterday when a spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of Defense slandered the Reagan's re-entry into the East Sea as "military bravado to send a so-called warning against the justified response of our military to the extremely provocative and threatening joint military exercise between the United States and South Korea." About 15 hours.

A spokesman for the National Aviation Administration of North Korea yesterday said, "Our missile test launch is a normal and planned self-defense measure to protect the safety of the country and regional peace from direct military threats from the United States that have lasted for more than half a century."

North Korea has launched its seventh ballistic missile in a fortnight since the 25th of last month.
