During the fishing competition, catch and release applies, that is, you release the fish after you have caught them.
If you manage to catch a fish, you put it down on a measuring board and take a picture of it before it is allowed to return to the channel again.
The winner got a perch of 44 centimeters and thus claimed the prize both for the largest fish and for the three longest perches.
