This request for the intervention of foreign armed forces is addressed to Haiti's international partners.

This will make it possible to stop, throughout the Haitian territory, the humanitarian crisis caused, among other things, by insecurity fueled by criminal actions.

This international support should promote the re-establishment of a safe climate that should make it possible to fight cholera effectively, the resumption of the distribution of fuel and drinking water, the functioning of hospitals, the restarting of economic activities, the free movement of people and property as well as the reopening of schools, we read in this resolution published in the official journal of the Republic of Haiti,

Le Moniteur

.

The document also provides for the establishment of an interministerial commission responsible for defining all the essential actions to be undertaken, with a view to making the initiatives that will be taken sustainable.

This decision follows the call for help, launched on October 5, by the head of the Haitian government in his address to the nation and the day after rumors suggesting that the Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, criticized for his management of the crisis, would have resigned.
