Zelensky: Ukraine liberated 2,434 square kilometers in the current offensive

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video speech on Friday that in their latest offensive, Ukrainian forces liberated 2,434 square kilometers and a total of 96 residential areas in the east of the country.

Zelensky also said that in the past week alone Kyiv's forces have recaptured 776 square kilometers and 29 residential areas in the east.

He added that more than 500 square kilometers were recovered in the south on Thursday.
