Following yesterday's joint missile defense exercise between the US and Japan, the ROK and US Navy will conduct a joint maneuver exercise in the East Sea for two days today and tomorrow.

It is an unprecedented level of military pressure against North Korea's recent provocations through continuous drills.

In the South Korean navy, the destroyer Munmu the Great and the frigate Donghae took part, and in the US side, the nuclear-powered carrier Ronald Reagan, the Aegis cruiser, and the Aegis destroyer participated.

After conducting tactical maneuver training in the East Sea, the navies of the two countries will also conduct an operation to escort the Reagan to the southeast of Jeju.

When the US nuclear carrier Reagan returned to North Korea's mid-range ballistic missile launch on the 4th, North Korea immediately responded with two short-range ballistic missiles.

It was first launched from the Pyongyang Samseok area, not from the Pyongyang Sunan Airport area, which is frequently used as a missile launch site, and it is interpreted as an intention to disrupt the ROK-U.S. intelligence assets.

[Kim Jun-rak / Chief of Public Affairs Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: It is a serious provocation that harms the peace and stability of the international community and is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions…

As North Korea's next provocation sequence, South Korean intelligence authorities are most likely to launch a submarine ballistic missile SLBM, and the possibility of a seventh nuclear test is being raised between mid-October and early November.
