The Social Democrats and the Center Party, which are usually large in Torsås, backed down in the election and together lost three seats.

At the same time, the Sweden Democrats grew by the same amount.

After three weeks of negotiations, the announcement came today that the Social Democrats will form a new government.

For their help, they have the former opposition party the Center - and the former cooperation parties in the Left and the Moderates.

SD in opposition

The former cooperation parties L and KD will no longer be part of the majority.

- No I do not think so.

Budget work will be tough, says municipal councilor Henrik Nilsson Bokor (S).

The Sweden Democrats will not go without luck with their newly won mandates.

As the largest opposition party, they will take their place as vice-chairmen in the committees.

- They get greater transparency and get a strong opposition role, says Henrik Nilsson Bokor (S).
