The document gives commanders the right to award the military the Order of Courage, the insignia of the Order of St. George - the St. George Cross of the IV degree, the medal "For Courage" and the medal "For Saving the Dead."

It is noted that the awarding should take place in combat areas.

In August, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu presented the Gold Star medals to the heroes of the special operation in Ukraine.
