“I have made the decision to introduce temporary management into Novatek Green Energy.

In this way, the energy security of more than 900 end-users in almost the entire territory of Poland will be ensured,” Polish Minister of Development and Technology Waldemar Buda said in a statement.

Earlier, the head of NOVATEK, Leonid Mikhelson, said that the company is applying to the courts of Poland and the European Union because of sanctions, according to which it must transfer gas networks to Polish companies.

Poland in April imposed sanctions on 50 Russian individuals and legal entities, including Novatek.

Several dozen regions of Poland were left without liquefied gas, which were provided by Novatek Green Energy, and now the Polish government obliges Novatek's division to transfer its own gas transmission infrastructure to Polish companies.
