Marlen Marschel has left her old job as a hairdresser in Torsby to retrain as a police officer at the Police Academy in Borås.

Now she is attracted by working as a police officer in her hometown again.

- For me, it is important to work preventively in the place I am from so that my children have a safe upbringing, she says.

Another person who is retraining is Linus Persson, he has played ice hockey at the highest level in both Färjestad, Luleå and Leksand.

Now he will change a career as an ice hockey player to invest in the police profession with the goal of working in his childhood town of Hagfors.

- I feel quite safe in pressured situations and I can take that with me from hockey to the police.
